The Mark Herbert Band
When eight of New England's top musicians and
performers got together, the Mark Herbert Band quickly gained popularity.
With both male and female front vocalists, powerful horns and a solid rhythm
section, this band performs customized arrangements from a wide variety of
musical styles ranging from the great big band swing era to blues,
jazz and classic hit dance tunes from Motown to funk. The
result is everybody dancing and thorougly enjoying their favorite music. This
band can perform as an eight piece ensemble or expand to a 10-piece orchestra
(called "the Little Big Band"). When President George W. Bush's
brother, Neil, needed a band for his wedding, he called the Mark Herbert
Band to the Kennebunkport compound. Soon thereafter, his Chief of Staff, John
Sununu made the call to Mark Herbert and now the band is the premiere
choice in entertainment for numerous mayoral and gubernatorial inaugural
receptions, corporate events, parties and weddings. Bill Clinton invited
Mark and his saxophone to personally attend his exclusive farewell party in
